Witney Eco Forum

Witney Eco Forum is an inclusive environmental group.

We meet every month to hear speakers from different climate interest groups; to share ideas and generate actions that will combat the climate and ecological emergencies and wider social injustice issues.

All members of the community, young and old, are welcome at Witney Eco Forum meetings, and are encouraged to work towards mitigating climate change and helping to achieve Net Zero.

Our next event

MP Watch Witney

On the evening of September 18th 2025, in the Methodist church in New Inn Hall Street, Oxford, MP Watch Witney is hosting a meeting with speakers

  • Lord Deben (John Gummer as was)
  • Roz Savage (the lady who rowed across three oceans and presented the Climate and Action Bill in parliament earlier this year)
  • Anneliese Dodds (MP for East Oxford)

MP Watch isn’t asking them to talk about climate change as such – they assume everyone knows the basics – but about why our political system doesn’t grapple better with it. What is it about our political system, or about politics itself, which makes it so difficult for real change to be brought about even when everyone agrees that it’s desirable, even necessary? As part of this the speakers will be asked to address the possibility of sanctioning politicians who deliberately deceive us.

Witney Eco Forum Summer Break
